Remote Live Production: A New Frontier
Since 2016, Blitz has been a pioneer in REMI (remote production), a methodology that optimises costs and improves operational efficiency.
With this technique, equipment and personnel are located only at the event site, while video production—including mixing, graphics, replays, and commentary—is performed centrally at Blitz’s Broadcast Centre in Bucharest.
This innovation has been made possible by advancements in video encoding and public internet transmission. REMI delivers an average cost reduction of 30%, high-quality centralised technical control, and the ability to operate in locations lacking advanced infrastructure.

A Strategic Partnership with MediaPower
Blitz Technology and MediaPower have announced the extension of their partnership, focusing on expanding remote live production services for Tier 2 and Tier 3 sports events in Italy and France.
The collaboration between the two companies, which began over a decade ago in audiovisual systems integration in Italy and Romania, is now evolving strategically.
Blitz, with its expertise in high-quality remote production, will join forces with MediaPower, leveraging its established knowledge of Western European markets.
Claudiu Paraschiv, CEO of Blitz, highlighted how the alliance harnesses the complementary strengths of the two companies. “Blitz provides the technological know-how, while MediaPower contributes its logistical resources in Milan, Genoa, and Nice, and has already started gradually building local teams to support regional sports events.”
Marcello Dellepiane, CEO of MediaPower, described this expansion as “a natural development of the partnership, aimed at delivering high-quality services at competitive costs.” By optimising existing resources, the two companies aim to support the growth of sports production in Western Europe.
